My Asia Restaurant Branding Project
Client
My Asia, a Chinese restaurant based in Zambia, offering authentic cuisine within a culturally immersive dining environment. The brand required a strong visual identity that reflected traditional Chinese aesthetics while appealing to a local market.
Requirements
- Design of a logo rooted in traditional Chinese visual language
- Development of a cohesive interior concept
- Menu and pamphlet design
- Staff clothing aligned with the brand identity
The overall brief called for a culturally authentic, elegant, and recognisable brand presence that could be consistently applied across all customer touchpoints.
Outcome
The logo was developed using a traditional black and red colour palette, reflecting strength, heritage, and cultural symbolism associated with Chinese design. Black and white imagery of China was incorporated into the broader visual system, creating depth and a sense of authenticity within the space.
The interior concept extended this identity through considered material choices and graphic applications that reinforced the cultural narrative. Menus, pamphlets, and staff clothing were designed to align seamlessly with the brand language, resulting in a cohesive and immersive restaurant experience that honours tradition while maintaining a refined, contemporary presence.
