Fokus Frankfurt, a contemporary eye institute based in Frankfurt, Germany, focused on delivering precise, patient-centred vision care. The practice required a distinctive brand identity that reflects both clinical expertise and a warm, human approach, while connecting meaningfully to its location.

The identity needed to move away from traditional clinical aesthetics and instead feel thoughtful, engaging, and visually intelligent.

Outcome

The brand identity centres around a conceptual eye motif, where the pupil subtly reveals the iconic Eschersheimer Turm, a prominent landmark located on the same street as the institute. This creates a strong sense of place while embedding the brand within its urban context.

The eye itself is constructed from a series of soft, diffused dots that transition from hazy and indistinct at the outer edges to sharp and clearly defined toward the pupil. This visual language directly reflects the institute’s core function — transforming blurred vision into clarity.

A warm, earthy colour palette of rich oranges and deep browns was introduced to shift away from cold clinical tones, bringing in a sense of warmth, trust, and human connection.

The website design extends this identity into a modern, warm, and artfully sophisticated digital experience. Through considered typography, soft visual transitions, and a refined layout, the site avoids the typical blue, sterile aesthetic associated with medical practices. Instead, it presents Fokus Frankfurt as a contemporary, design-conscious institute — setting it apart with a calm, inviting interface that balances clarity of information with an elevated, human-centred feel.
